Freeview offers 30 channels of TV and radio. It's subscription-free, and there are no ties. All you need to pay, is the one-off cost of purchasing a set-top box. Until recently, boxes were around £80 to £100, but now Currys and Dixons are setting boxes from £49.99 upwards. An extra stack of channels for Christmas, for a no-strings £50 is a great bargain.
