Limehouse bridge to DLR
Mar 8th, 2009 at 6:35pm

Rumour has it that the reason for the snail like pace on completing the bridge between the Limehouse "up" platform and the DLR "down" platform is because C2C have thrown their toys out of the pram over provision of ticket checking staff on the bridge.
Dear God please tell me this is not true. It would not surprise me if it is as C2C frequently prioritise petty internal matters such as this above simple "customer service." Can they not just get the bridge built, open it to customers and then have their childish arguments with TFL or whomever they wish to pick on.

They are their own worst enemy.
Since xmas the Grays ticket office has frequently been closed at around 7 - 7:30pm when I pass through, its supposed to be open until after 9pm.
There are people in the ticket office, I can hear them, but all the blinds are down with no-one selling tickets.
Add to this the fact that last summer I reported a hole in the fence (just west of the station by Church Path) which is used by kids to avoid paying & which still hasn't been repaired.
Its obvious they don't want to spend the money to make the system secure.
Need I say more!

The DLR project status page would suggest c2c/Network Rail have no actual planned date to start their side of the works, let alone finish them.

Work would appear to be ongoing. No date set for the opening?
