Was anyone else around the morning of 8th July? I got an alert on my phone (they actually worked for once!) saying emergency services were dealing with an incident. Luckily my train 0554 from Tilbury Town was only delayed by a couple of minutes. Later I found out it was due to a couple of idiots trying to nick cable. One died & the other is in hospital. Serves them right to be honest, and lets hope its a lesson for other people planning on trying to steal cable.

Got what they deserved, no sympathy at all. If we could just arrange to electrocute fare dodgers too...
