December 2009 timetable changes
Sep 23rd, 2009 at 10:07am

Any news about amendments for the timetable change on 13 December 2009? I thought some changes were planned for the last couple of revisions, but kept getting pushed back?

Chatting to a ticket inspector on the train the other day, he said they'd been told that there would be no major changes.
This is because of the ongoing rolling-stock refurbishment & imminent sale (possibly) to Stagecoach (via the spanish buyers CVC Investments).
As c2c need to give a minimum of 12 weeks notice of change of timetable, the new one (if there is one) should be in the National Rail Enquiries journey planner by now.
I don't know why they always leave it so late to put it up on the c2c website!

Only one late morning peak service is being removed due to low patronage. Otherwise, it is just minor tweaking.

A look on National Rail journey planner shows the 09:31 from Laindon has been removed and the 09:06 semi-fast from Southend Central will now call additionally at Laindon and Upminster.

The 09:06 was four carriages and the 09:31 was eight carriages. Hopefully the 09:06 will not stay at four now it has extra calling points.

The 0906 x Southend Cent is currently booked as an 8-car. It will remain as an 8 to cater for the additional passengers.

Changes are now on the c2c website. Two semi fast trains from Fenchurch Street in the late evening will now call additionally at Limehouse, around the time that the two Grays services start from Liverpool Street, giving a connection at Barking.
