Barking station to get share of £50m
Nov 19th, 2009 at 8:40am

Barking has been named as one of the "worst 10" stations in the country and will receive a share of £50m. One of the problems they highlight is lack of real-time information. The c2c and London Overground platforms already have screens. It is the London Underground platforms that have abandoned ancient departure boards that I cannot ever remember working. I wonder if they will replace them or if the usual lack of co-operation between London Underground and the mainline railway will prevent it.
