I am a little surprised by a couple of comments in this document that in my view, really do not help the customers of c2c.
Firstly, suggesting a cap on fare increases of RPI plus 1%. How many customers have received a pay increase of RPI in the last couple of years, let alone abobe RPI. Given that the c2c product/service hasn't improved significantly, surely the call should be for no increase.
Secondly, I am not keen on the use of the word "value" in describing the 52 for 40 weeks cost of a season ticket. Many employees, particularly public sector, now receive 6 weeks annual leave and add to that time off for appointments, business trips, the increasing amount of working from home/ hot desking etc. many customers use the ticket for no more than 40 weeks a year so there is no "value."
