I have been commuting on C2C from Chafford Hundred since 1996 and in the 14 years between then and now disruption management has not improved one bit. Yet again customer service was completely neglected as was the Ockendon branch service. I was at Barking station between 19:00 and 19:40 and the c2c staff were either in hiding or claiming not to know what was going on. It was not until 19:30 that any mention at all was made of a Chafford hundred train. Absolutely pathetic c2c - when are you going to get your act together? Your customers pay a huge amount for your "service" so at least have the courtesy to communicate with them.
